President of Employers of Poland, CEO of Novartis and the Minister of Entrepreneurship and Technology on innovation and medical biotechnology in Poland

President of Employers of Poland Andrzej Malinowski met with CEO of Novartis Vasant Narasimhan and Minister of Entrepreneurship and Technology Jadwiga Emilewicz. Viceminister of health Marcin Czech, CEO of Novartis Poland Paul van Arkel, advisor to the Prime Minister Paweł Skotarek and a representative of the Swiss embassy in Poland also participated.

The meeting focused on the opportunities for Novartis to support the development of innovation and the biotechnology sector, as well the cooperation between science and business.

Novartis Group is the second largest pharmaceutical group in Poland with over 2300 employees. The factory in Stryków is among the five biggest Novartis factories in the world, with 97 percent of the production being used for export. The value of local investments by Novartis in the production of medicine in Poland has exceeded 750 mln PLN.
