Drafts of bills presented by the Ministry of Health scrutinized by Employers of Poland

Employers of Poland reviewed the package of draft resolution of the Minister of Health regarding  the increase in wages for nurses and midwives. There is a risk that the costs of this raise will have to be covered by entrepreneurs. Moreover, directors of medical entities may face charges of violating the discipline of public finances.

Skipping prior dialog and failure to name the source of financing for the raises and their cost for the system, as well as the shattering of wage structure in hospitals, have to be considered as fundamental shortcomings of the proposed changes. The consequences borne by employers were not taken into consideration. The introduction of a new data format may b=cause a major delay in transferring funds from the National Health Fund (NFZ) to cover the raises in wages in September 2018. This, in turn, may cause many entities to lose their financial liquidity.

Employers of Poland hope that these remarks will help reach a more appropriate solution which will guarantee both the financial security of nurses and midwives and the security of the patients.
